We've lived here for 6 months but haven't made the trip to Grand Canyon until now. Yes, we know it is winter and it is cold up there but what the heck.
Casey went with us which made it extra special.
Our first impression was - wow. After that the beauty really sinks in.
Since we are only here for a day and a half we only had time for one hike so we did Bright Angel. I know the canyon is only so deep but coming back up the trail you would swear it is 5 times deeper than when you went in.
Regardless of the lack of lung (left it on the trail out) we enjoyed it. Too bad the pic are not up to the subject.
